A BETTER EVERYDAY SETUP

Small adjustments.
Better sessions.

Practical notes on display settings, a quieter desk and keeping your game library in order.

01

Start with the display

Check that your operating system is using the refresh rate you intended. Games can have a separate refresh-rate or frame-rate setting, so check both before changing graphics quality.

Adjust brightness for the room you actually play in. Keep text comfortably readable, and compare one change at a time using the same scene.

02

Make space for the essentials

Leave enough room to move your mouse without catching a cable. Route charging leads to the edge of the desk, and keep vents clear of walls, fabric and loose papers.

A simple headset stand and a reusable cable tie can make a small desk easier to live with. Start with what gets in your way each day.

03

Keep your library manageable

Separate games you are playing now from the ones you want to try later. Before uninstalling anything, check where its save files live and whether cloud saves have finished syncing.

Keep a short note of custom controls and graphics settings. It makes returning to an old favourite much easier after a reinstall.
